Taylor C. Schubauer-Waters, Deputy Treasurer and State Delegate, is an an attorney advisor for the Social Security Administration Buffalo Office of Hearings Operations. Ms. Schubauer-Waters has experience representing individuals in obtaining disability benefits from the Social Security Administration and the New York State & Local Retirement System, and through all stages of the administrative process, including at hearings before Administrative Law Judges, as well as appeals to the United States District Court for the Western District of New York and United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
In addition to being a member of the Membership Committee for WBASNY WNY, Ms. Schubauer-Waters is a member of the Erie County Bar Association’s Committee for the Disabled. She is also a board member and the tutoring coordinator for Lawyers for Learning, a local tutoring organization that pairs students from Buffalo Public School 18 with tutors from the legal community.
Ms. Schubauer-Waters earned her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law where she completed a concentration in Family Law. While in law school, Ms. Schubauer-Waters participated in the Domestic Violence & Women’s Rights clinic where she represented survivors of domestic violence in Erie County Family Court.
Ms. Schubauer-Waters is a native of West Seneca and presently lives in North Buffalo, New York with her husband. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
